Dorothy Maquette

Here are the developments. She is now under casting process. My goal is for Coraline's quality.
Her face is a little bit too chubby on the full set. Thus, a revision is made for her head.
Special thanks to my Taiwanese acquaintances for helping me with the process of casting and all.
You guys rock!
Comments? Good or bad are welcome.

Sneak Peek

The unfinished maquette for my personal project: Wizard of Oz. There will be some minor editing to be done to the costume and a HELL lot of detailing job to do...

Zorn

Zorn's watercolor seems to have that happy medium between fast strokes of Sargent's and sensitivities of Sorolla's. Here is my attempt in copying Zorn.

The close up: (Since the actual painting is too large to be scanned on my scanner, I used crappy shit called Nikon Coolpix 5200- hence, the glorious image quality -put sarcastic face here-)

Plein Air attempt!

After multiple encouragements (and nagging ^_^) from my friends, I finally gave in and decided to post some of my recent stuffs on my blog.
These were all done on watercolor paper and gouache. Unless indicated, all were painted on location.
Tributes to one of my favorite landscape painter William Wendt. I visited his exhibition @ LBMA last year. Wendt worked mostly in oil. This master copy were done with gouache. I hope I do him justice.
